The CIE 2016 Lighting Quality & Energy Efficiency Conference was held successfully at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins from 3rd – 9th March 2016. This is the fourth biennial CIE Lighting Quality and Energy Efficiency Conference with over 190 delegates from all parts of the globe took part in the conference. MyCIE was pleasure to be part of the CIE 2016. A 6-member MyCIE delegation consisting of Mr CT Siew, Engr Narendren, Mr Glenn Tiong, Mr SS Lim, Dr CS Tan & Ms SY Lim participated in the Conference and TC meetings. The conference focused not just on quality lighting and energy efficient light sources, but also colour and visual perception; non-visual effects of lighting; testing and measurement; and other aspects of lighting technology and best-practice.
The conference was accompanied by the CIE Divisions and Technical Committee (TC) Meetings held at Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens from 7th to 9th March 2016.
In general, there were 3 invited talks, 53 presentations, 4 workshops, 22 presented posters and 32 posters that cover topics on Quality Lighting and Energy Efficiency, Interior and Exterior Applications, Light and Vision, Photobiological Effects and Photometry and Measurements.
