Dr. Siew Choon Thye (C.T. Siew) is the Managing Director of Gruppe Lighting Solution Sdn Bhd, He is an experience and expertise in the lighting industry. Dr. C.T. Siew’s academic background, which includes a Masters and Doctorate, provides him with a deep understanding of the technical aspects of lighting technology, as well as insights into research and development within the field. His advanced degrees have equipped him with specialized knowledge in areas such as lighting design, engineering, and related fields like materials science or energy efficiency in both theoretical knowledge and practical application. He is also the Immediate Past President of The Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysia (TEEAM).

Ts. Lim Sai Seong holds a Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Hons.), NU, Newcastle UK. He sits in several standards working committee under Standards Malaysia, Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM), Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), JKR and also MYCIE. He is the Director of QAV Technologies, Malaysia’s second National Testing Laboratory and he is a member of IET and also current Deputy President of The Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysia (TEEAM).
Secretary
Mr. Rajasegaran Bungara Naidu holds a Master in Business Administration from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. He is having decade of experience in Engineering and lighting where he specializes in indoor lighting in both technical and application. He is also sits as a member of the Working Group (WG) on Indoor Lighting and Luminaires. He is the Director of Areta Energy Services Sdn Bhd and he sits as a Member of Working group and also a council member of The Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysia (TEEAM).
Treasurer
Ir.Ts.Dr.Narendren Rengasamy has close to 2 decades experience within the full value chain of the lighting industry, from research and development, manufacturing, all the way through to project design and execution. He has been an active member of several technical committees and working groups focused on the development of standards and policies with regards to lighting and energy efficiency. He is also the national expert to TC 34 of IEC and the past Chairman of CIE Malaysia. He is also a member of the Industry Advisory panel of UNITEN and Monash University Malaysia, as well as a council member of TEEAM. He holds a doctorate in Engineering from University Malaya and an MBA from the University of Derby. His research interests include photobiological and horticulture lighting. Ir.Dr.Narendren is current the CEO of Pelepas Terminal Inland Services in Johor.
Div 3 Director
Mr. Tay Hooi Seng joined PCO in 2009 as Chief Technical Director. He has extensive experience in lighting design and has been involved in tunnels lighting , sports lighting (night horse racing course, football, golf courses), street lighting and tele management as well as office lighting. He has been in the Lighting field for about 25 years and 3 years’ experience in focused on wiring devices and lighting control systems. Tay holds a MSc in Building Science and B Eng (Hons) from National University of Singapore. He is a Chartered Engineer from UK (1995) and Member of Institution of Lighting Professional UK (1993). He is Technical Assessor/Expert for the Singapore Accreditation Council-Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SAC-SINGLAS).

Ms. Lim Swee Yoong, holds a Bachelor of Science (Physics) degree from Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. She joined Straits Design Sdn Bhd as a Lighting Applications Engineer in 2000 and is responsible for the Lighting Studies Department.She attends the yearly photometry meetings organized among the design office of Schréder Group, where the latest information and experience in lighting applications are shared among the members. This includes discussions and update on the latest software as well as the progress and up-to-date status of the International Standards for lighting.She assists the Technical Advisor in the preparation of technical and research material and is involved in planning the technical seminars on lighting. She is also a member of SIRIM’s working group responsible for drafting the Malaysian Standards for Road Lighting.

Dr. Vineetha Kalavally holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Monash University, Australia. Dr Vineetha is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering at Monash University Malaysia and the director of the ‘Intelligent Lighting Laboratory’ where she leads a research group focused on Solid State Lighting. She is a strong advocator of industry engagement, interdisciplinary involvement and international collaborations to strengthen Malaysia’s position within the global lighting industry.
