MyCIE successfully hosted a Forum on “The Malaysia Lighting Industry & Its Role in the Energy Transition” during ENLIT Asia 2024, a premier ASEAN Power & Energy event, on 10th October 2024 at MITEC, KL. Chairman of MyCIE, Dr. CT Siew gave the Opening Remarks. The Forum was moderated by Ir. Dr. Ts. Narendren Regasamy, who is the Treasurer and Immediate Past Chairman of MyCIE.

Distinguished speakers included Dr. David Lacey, Director of Advanced Development & Services at Osram Opto Semiconductors (M) Sdn Bhd, Dr. CT Siew, Chairman of MyCIE, Associate Prof. Dr. Vineetha Kalavally, Director of the Intelligent Lighting Laboratory at Monash University, Mr. Hussalmizzar Hussain, Senior Director of Standardisation at the Department of Standards Malaysia, and Ir. Ts. Zulkiflee Umar, Deputy Director of the Energy Efficiency & Conservation Department of the Energy Commission.  They presented very informative data and insights.  The Forum was supported by The Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysia (TEEAM) and the Machinery & Engineering Industries Federation (MEIF).

MyCIE wishes to extend its gratitude to all the distinguished speakers and attendees. It was a highly engaging knowledge-sharing session with lighting experts. Some 60 participants gained valuable insights into the lighting industry.
